COMMON FEATURES

  • A wallpaper appears to be one large static component behind the website content
  • It basically comprises of two gutters on the left and right of the web page and a header across the top
  • The header displays at the top of the page, 982 pixels wide by 90 pixels tall
  • The header is standard but also optional.
  • Each gutter can be a maximum size of 509 pixels wide by 1,200 pixels tall
  • The height can vary according to the advertising content
  • There are two sizes or "safe areas" recommended for the message in each gutter
  • The safe area refers to visibility due to monitor sizes and screen resolutions
  • The recommended size "safe for all" visitors is 150 pixels wide by 600 pixels tall
  • The recommended size "safe for most" visitors is 230 pixels wide by 600 pixels tall
  • Wallpapers can have a single click thru URL
  • The maximum file size of all components is 200 kb (kilobytes)
  • Wallpapers can be used in conjunction with other ad types to create a site takeover

FILE TYPES

Wallpapers are served through ad tags.  The following file types can be accepted to generate ad tags for wallpaper ads.  Wallpaper advertisements are static.

  • JPG, JPEG or PNG - recommended for static ads that contain photographs, graduated screens or several colors
  • Static GIF - recommended for static ads with solid or few colors
  • Shockwave (SWF) - recommended for vector formatted graphics and crisp typography

Third party ad tags can be supplied for this ad type.  Testing through AdOps is recommended.
